7 Natural Ways to Fight Spider and Varicose Veins

Varicose veins are swollen, twisted veins that are visible on your body, mostly on the legs. Varicose veins are very common in women; also if you are older, have obesity problems, don’t exercise, or have a family history of varicose veins. They can also be more common in pregnancy.

Some of the symptoms of varicose veins include:

  • Aching
  • Heavy and uncomfortable legs
  • Swollen feet and ankles
  • Burning feeling in your legs
  • Muscle cramp in your legs
  • Dry, itchy and thin skin over the affected vein

The symptoms usually get worse during warm weather or if you’ve been standing up for long periods of time through the day.

1.ACV

Apple cider vinegar is an excellent natural treatment for varicose veins. It improves the blood flow and brings down the swelling.

Simply apply some apple cider vinegar on your affected area and gently massage it. Do this every day before going to bed until you see positive results. Make sure not apply too much pressure while massaging the areas.

2.Parsley

Parsley is rich in vitamin C and rutin which help to restore and strengthen the capillaries, thus, reducing the pain caused by spider veins.

Chop a handful of parsley and put it in a cup of water. Boil for 5 to 7 minutes and the set aside to cool down. You can also add a few drops of an essential oil to it. Dip a cotton ball in it and apply it over the affected areas. Do this twice a day until the blue and red lines on your legs disappear.

3.Witch hazel

Witch hazel is an excellent remedy for treating various skin disorders, including swollen veins. It contains tannins and volatile oils which restore the structure of veins.

Take a cotton ball and soak it in witch hazel. Place it on the affected area for about 15 minutes. Do this 3 times a day for one month to see the results.

4.Cabbage

Cabbage is rich in vitamins, fiber, magnesium, calcium, and potassium that are excellent components for reducing swelling of veins.

Chop cabbage leaves and put them in a blender. Add some water and blend until you get a fine paste. Then, apply it paste to the affected area. Cover the area with a clean cotton cloth and leave it on for 2 hours. Afterwards, wash it off with water. Do this every day for one month to see the positive results.

5.Ginger

Ginger is simply great for treating spider veins. It contains powerful antioxidants, which can help you minimize the appearance of varicose veins.

Cut fresh ginger into pieces and add them in a glass of boiling water. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Strain the water and add some honey into it. Drink this tea 2-3 times a day.

6.Aloe Vera, carrot, and ACV

The mixture of Aloe Vera, carrot, and apple cider vinegar is probably one of the best homemade remedies to treat swollen veins and relieve pain.

First extract the gel from 3 Aloe Vera leaves. Put one carrot in a blender and mix it with Aloe Vera gel. Add half a cup of apple cider vinegar to make a smooth, homogenous paste. Apply this paste over your varicose veins. Leave it on for 30 minutes, and wash it off with lukewarm water. Do this every night before going to bed to get the desired results.

7.Olive oil and vitamin E

The mixture from these two ingredients will provide relief from feelings of heaviness and will make your skin soft and elastic.

Mix equal proportions of olive oil and vitamin E. Slightly warm the mixture on low heat. Apply it over the affected area and massage it gently for a 5 minutes using upward motion. Do this 1-2 times a day for 2 months to see the results.
