Or, most popular of all- she is beautiful and single and the entire movie is about her quest to find her Mr. Right. And all these movies end with the hero figure coming just in time to save the woman from all her troubles and thus win her gratitude as well as her heart.

But have you really experienced a relationship with such a woman in real life. I’m sure many of you might have. And would you still romanticize the notion of a damsel in distress? I don’t think many would. Believe it or not there does exist another kind of woman, who is anything but in distress.
