25 Little Habits That Will Make You A Completely Different Person In A Year From Now
You didn’t come up with the New Year’s resolution yet? Or, you did, but you still didn’t fulfill any of them? Whatever the case may be, we give you 25 tiny habits that will make a big impact on yourself progress for a year.
Let’s go:
1. Read at least 1 book per month.
2. Get a journal and write down your goals at the start of the week or the month.
3. Make a tracker of the goals and try to observe them a bit more, how you fulfill them and what could you have done better.
4. Make a cheat day, but this cheat day will be no meat day. Just one day avoid meat.
5. Turn your phone on silent before you share meal or a conversation with someone.
6. Talk to someone that you trust when you’re in a pain or have worries to think about.
7. Walk more, whenever you can and wherever you can.
8. Try to be more considerate about other people’s emotions.
9. Say “yes” to something that now scares you if that promises you something good later.
10. Write in the journal everyday with a thought that no one will read it, there are no rules to write and you’re using it just like a tool to get your thoughts off of your head.
11. Become more conscious of your emotions like you never did before, observe them deeply, address them and name them instead of treating them like they don’t exist.
12. Try to listen more than you talk.
13. Look at anything else except screen the minutes before you go to sleep to prevent yourself from getting back in the world that you’re about to rest from in the next hours.
14. Treat sleep as an absolute necessity instead of being proud of yourself how little you’re getting.
15. Pay more attention to the factors that help you do a good work. Is it music? Is it silence? Do you need more greenery, windows, sunlight, white noise? Or maybe you want incense sticks, essential oils, taking a break more often when you study? These are the small moments when you do your best work, and continue them when needed.
16. You can talk to strangers sometimes, talk to your Uber driver if he seems like he needs to chat, or the nearest store you shop in for groceries. People do have interest things to say when you’re listening.
17. When you come up with a new goal and want to talk to your best friend or family member, do it. They will surely get excited with you, and you will feel more eager to do it.
18. Try to listen to white noise or brown noise while you’re studying. This can help you concentrate on what you study even more.
19. Focus on the little things that take away your time before you go to bed. If you find yourself scrolling through Instagram or watching a video on Facebook, stop it. Turn off, brush your teeth and go to bed.
20. When you try to relax, make sure you’re ready to relax your body, your mind and your emotions. Don’t half-ass it, take your time and relax. Try to take a long hot bath to relax your mind and muscles, get your incense sticks and give yourself a good meditation.
21. Wear whatever makes you feel like you’re at the peak of your confidence levels, and whatever makes you feel good with yourself and how you look in it.
22. Open your mails right away, answer what it needs to be answered, whatever is finished delete or store them in a folder. Do not procrastinate because it will turn into a habit that you don’t want to have. If it’s already a habit, break it with finishing the tasks in the moment.
23. Tell people that you are proud of them, inspired, grateful of them and that you want them more in your life. Don’t be shy.
24. Make every decision or choice based on your desire to be a person of integrity.
25. Think about where you were and who you were 5 years ago, 10 years ago and the person you are now. Observe your progress more and think about the things you are doing now that you didn’t dare to do when you were back then. Be proud of yourself, and think about what else you need to improve yourself even more.
