8 Reasons Strong Women Handle Relationships Differently
“I believe in strong women. I believe in the woman who is able to stand up for herself. I believe in the woman who doesn’t need to hide behind her husband’s back. I believe that if you have problems, as a woman you deal with them, you don’t play victim, you don’t make yourself look pitiful, you don’t point fingers. You stand and you deal. You face the world with a head held high and you carry the universe in your heart.” – C. JoyBell C.
So, what actually means being a strong person, and how does a woman get the strong definition? Before we start with the definition of strong women, let us tell about what means to be strong.
Being strong is not always something you are born with, it’s not always a trait that people get from their parents or just “genetically” by any means of that. Being strong is becoming strong, the pain and process in it, the fails and successes, and the power of mastering self control and self respect, as much as respect and love to others, no matter how tough that can be. We all live in a world that we as human beings created it, and our life can be challenging, hard to the points of no explanation. And through our hardships in our lives, we learn the most. A strong person is a person which was damaged and bruised, and didn’t let damages and bruises break his persona.
So, what means being a strong woman?
The strong woman is and always will be tested. She doesn’t fear if she loses, and doesn’t brag when she wins. She knows her place and independence, and the different experiences have taught her well enough to be serious when she needs to, to be real and honest with herself, and to cut out people in her life that are toxic, not needed or people that try to tear her down. They don’t know what’s like to need someone, because they are content and happy in their own company.
Strong women are fierce, wise, mindful, courageous, resilient and beautiful. These are some 8 following points to have in mind to keep on track when having a girl like yours.
1. They aren’t looking for a relationships to save them
Because they don’t need saving. They learned from their childhood that only they can save themselves, and having that in their minds will naturally lead them to grow their independence. Women who are independent will learn how to take care of themselves, how to cook, how to be financially stable, how to be happy, so they don’t come up to you with a back plan, waiting for you to save her life. You don’t have to worry about that.
2. They now what they want
Because of this, they don’t approach relationship the same way other women do. In other words, these women were hurt before and now know exactly what they want in a mate. They had experiences with people who gave them exactly what they don’t want, and now know what they want. They don’t waste their life in dead-end relationships; if they feel the vibe with you, you’ll know. If not, she’ll let you know early on so you both don’t waste your time.
3. They view relationships as an equal partnership
They don’t seek partner to get something out of them, but to be right next to them as a valuable person in their life. They will value you and you will add value to their lives too, and that’s something that a partnership should look like. They see the importance of taking and giving equal in their lives, so she would never take more than what’s she’s giving when it comes to love.
4. They know how to handle their emotions
Strong women are perfectly capable of sorting out their own feelings. It’s lot more easier to talk to them when a disagreement happens, because their emotions are fully mature. They will treat you like an equal adult, with respect and grace. These types of women don’t let their emotions get the best of them, and always listen to their partner’s point of view without interrupting. These women are not afraid of conflict, and would rather bring something up front than hide from you. Conversation is all that it needs to solve everything out, without creating drama out of it.
5. They don’t get jealous easily
Trust is a big deal for strong women, because she doesn’t just hand it out. It has to be earned over a period of time, and even then she might still need some more time. If you have your trust, don’t do anything to lose it, because you are not going to earn it back. If she trusts you she won’t worry about the friend you’re hanging out with or where you go after work. You gave her your heart and so does she, so nagging over something totally useless to nag about is not her thing.
6. Strong women aren’t looking for something casual
They don’t want another passing fancy in their lives, they want someone who will withstand all the climates and season that are going by. E person who is not sure whether he needs that kind of woman should not try to get into her life in the first place, because it’s wasting her time, not her emotions. They want a soulmate and nothing less.
7. They run from negativity
Negative people are something that you should indeed run from. Strong women also work and do their lives and cost them time, health and emotions, so someone who’s going to take her energy is a no-no for her. A strong woman is only attracted to a positive, uplifting person because she’s been through a lot in her own life and doesn’t want someone who will drag her back into the dirt. She’s blossomed into a beautiful flower now and knows that flowers can’t keep growing without sunlight, so she runs from darkness whenever possible.
8. They have their own goals and dreams
A strong woman doesn’t need a man or woman to bring home the bread or give her life direction. She knows what she wants, she works hard to get it and nothing will stop her. Living her own life at the fullest also means you living your life at the fullest, because as much as she respects her life, her goals and herself she respects you equally. A true relationship is when you are both growing, and with this kind of woman, you’ll both do.
